Removing heavy makeup has always been a bit of a struggle for me. It usually results in either relentless scrubbing and irritated skin or makeup residue that leads to breakouts the next day. To put it to the ultimate test, I decided to use it to remove my bridesmaid makeup from a long wedding day. I’m thrilled to say it passed with flying colors.

I applied it with my hands and followed up with my usual face wash for a double cleanse to ensure I got every last bit of makeup off. Origins suggests you can use it alone or as the first step in a double-cleansing routine, and I chose the latter since my skin is prone to acne. After my skincare routine with the oil, my skin felt hydrated, calm, and thoroughly clean.
While the packaging might not be as travel-friendly as makeup wipes, it did fit perfectly in my wedding makeup bag. It has officially earned its place in my beauty lineup.
