So a few months ago, my buddy suggested to me out of nowhere that we take a hike in the wildland to test our physical limits. I thought it was a great idea, but I was concerned about my gear inadequacies, specifically the issue of footwear. I’m no hiking expert, but I’m pretty sure old sneakers are a terrible choice for mountainous terrain.
I went online in search of a suitable pair of hiking boots, and since it was my first time ‘professionally’ hiking, the most important features I looked for were safety and comfort. The Zamberlan 1111 Cresta GTX RR Men’s Hiking Boots turned out to be the answer to my needs, and even some that I didn’t know I had. Although they are a bit pricey, their good-looking and rugged exterior won me over, and I just had to make the purchase.
Finally, the D-day arrived. It was time for us to go hiking. I put on the boots and they felt incredibly comfortable on my feet. I took that as a good sign, and I was proven right. Throughout the hike, it felt like I was walking on clouds rather than jagged rocks. I was pleased to discover that besides some slight redness after the hike, I experienced no discomfort or blisters to speak of. The cushioning was perfect for my feet.
These boots are also highly durable. I have worn them on many more outdoor adventures, and they have held up very well. Furthermore, they are fully waterproofed and on some occasions even kept more water out than my thickest rain jacket during heavy downpours.
The Zamberlan 1111 Cresta GTX RR Men’s Hiking Boots are excellent value for their price, and I have never regretted buying them. I highly recommend this footwear for any outdoor activity you want to partake in.
