Apart from the horror of waking up to a car that wouldn’t start, there was also a toilet that wouldn’t flush. Rather than work as it should, the water rose almost to the brim. All this was happening on a Monday morning when there was an 8 o’clock meeting for a briefing about a new client at the ad agency where I work. The best proposal would get the account and I so needed it to be. One thing I would do is put down a deposit for a new car then I would move to a better house.
I had no chance of getting that account though with a car that wouldn’t start. I was glad to see my friend and neighbor pull out of the parking lot as I considered using an app to get a cab. I flagged her down and was relieved that I would get to work on time today.
On the way, I shared my predicament with her, sharing that I didn’t think I could qualify for a loan from my bank. I had just finished my three-month probation and got confirmed for a permanent position which is why I needed to start proving myself. Even if I had been working for longer, I didn’t imagine my credit score would look good with my student loan.
I was delighted to hear my friend talk about payday loans. Then it occurred to me that I would have to go to their office, put in an application, hand in the requirements and then wait to hear if I could get the loan.
She thrilled me once again when she told me the application was made by phone and I would hear from them almost immediately. Also, all I needed to do was download an app and create an account. Then, I could log in and fill out a short application form. I cant tell you how relieved I was to hear that a decision would be made in just minutes.
I got onto my phone and downloaded the app right away. Just as she said, all I needed to do was fill out a form with my details including my workplace and how much I needed to borrow. Still skeptical about it only taking a few minutes, I couldn’t contain my shout for joy when my phone beeped with a message from the app and yes, Id qualified for the loan. I read the terms that included when I would pay, how much it would be including interest and I clicked to agree. The next message that came in told me a deposit would made to my account in 24 hours.
I’m not the most tech-savvy person but I cant believe I didn’t know about a payday loan app. The next day, my car went to the shop and was repaired and I was so happy to get the plumber in to fix the toilet. Its great to know I can access small loans so fast for such emergencies. And I plan to tell everyone about it. They are a lifesaver.
