Although as an online tutor, I get at least a shot at using almost all the platforms available for facilitating online studies, some of the features available to a tutor through Google Classroom are quite exceptional.
Well, to begin with, Google Classroom has very user-friendly navigation; therefore, it is easy to find one’s way and effectively use. It means an easy-to-use interface that is favorable for me to either add my classes or edit settings with assignments and resources.
In the process, Google Classroom can be accessed with the real-time appearance feature, with which everything will be made handy for any tutor like me who always works online. Namely, I will be able to issue notifications on any needed changes that the learners will need to know—either by making general announcements or by private messaging. In fact, such technology replaces the poor quality of the former whiteboard technology and results in the improvement in quality of my virtual classroom in making me feel like I am in a traditional physical setup.
The epitome of what Google Classroom stands for must be the section on paperless assignments. This platform enabled me to attach my assignments in different forms, such as quizzes, questionnaires, and even class work turned in, for example, as essays, and edit them easily for my students, taking into account the needs and abilities, attaching the feedback and the final marks in just one place. This has made grading truly easy and efficient.
Another feature that I particularly love in relation to Google Classroom is that of its compatibility with other Google applications, like Google Drive and Docs. It makes my effort of struggling to share any kind of document or material with students further, and it is easy to collaborate on. This allows full integration with all other Google apps, being very participative in the learning process.
Lastly, Google Classroom makes work easier, besides just being a piece of cake and a game-changer. Taking a look at what has come along with the app just makes everything else present at the touch of a button with online tutoring. For instance, the students who miss my class find it easy to catch up on what they have lately.
Generally, the experience of being an online tutor with Google Classrooms has been outstanding. The platform has really proved to be an exciting arsenal in coming handy on how to teach and have virtual interaction with students. This, coupled with its ease in how it provides real life interactions other than connecting up with other Google applications and being user friendly, makes it an unavoidable virtual learning platform with high efficiency. Definitely, I would recommend Google Classroom to any teacher.
