The Perfect Flour Mixer “Kenwood KMX750AWH Planetary Kneader Kitchen Machine kMix”

I am a passionate baker, and I’ve dreamt of owning a stand mixer for years. I deliberated between a discounted KitchenAid and the Kenwood KMX750AWH Planetary Kneader Kitchen Machine kMix, which had received rave reviews. In the end, I chose the Kenwood because it was €200 cheaper than the KitchenAid, and for my first stand mixer, it seemed like a reasonable compromise. And let me tell you, I am absolutely thrilled with my decision! I’ve had it for four months now, and it has exceeded all my expectations.

The Kenwood KMX750AWH is incredibly stable, almost as heavy as the KitchenAid, and stays firmly in place on my countertop even when handling thick brioche dough. Its sleek design and ergonomic features make it a pleasure to use. The button to unlock and lift the arm is conveniently located at the base, allowing for easy and comfortable operation, unlike the KitchenAid’s button, which is awkwardly placed in the middle of the arm.

The stainless steel bowl with its ergonomic handle is a joy to work with, lightweight yet sturdy, and easy to clean. I opted for the stainless steel bowl over the glass one, which I found too heavy, especially when filled with dough.

I found a neat trick to improve the lid’s opening angle, allowing for easier pouring of ingredients into the bowl. By gently but firmly pushing the lid to its maximum opening, it now opens fully, making ingredient addition much more convenient.

Despite my initial concerns about noise levels, I’ve found the Kenwood KMX750AWH to be surprisingly quiet, especially at lower speeds. It may be a tad louder at higher speeds, but still quieter than many other lower-quality mixers.

The only drawback I’ve noticed is that it takes a bit longer to whip egg whites to stiff peaks compared to my hand mixer, but having my hands free to multitask more than makes up for it.

In terms of accessories, I’ve noticed that there aren’t as many available for the Kenwood compared to the KitchenAid, and they can be quite pricey. So if you’re planning to invest in additional accessories, it’s worth checking what’s available for this model beforehand.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The Kenwood KMX750AWH has surpassed all my expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in the market for a stand mixer.
